Overview

Using Trend Co-Pilot means you accept these terms. We've written them in plain English. If anything is unclear, write to legal@trend-copilot.com and we'll explain.

This is a closed beta: invoicing is manual, there are no automatic charges, and you can cancel at any time. The legalese here is the bare minimum we need; we'll replace it with formal v1.0 terms before public launch.

The service

Trend Co-Pilot is a SaaS for publishers that turns real-time trends into per-persona, ready-to-publish articles. The service includes:

  • Trend discovery across multiple providers
  • The persona engine (per-publisher voice, tone, and structure)
  • Article generation across multiple LLM providers
  • The image pipeline (search, generation, attribution)
  • WordPress publishing, including media upload and category/tag selection

Your account

  • One human per account. Sharing credentials with another person is prohibited.
  • You are responsible for everything that happens under your account, including access via 2FA recovery codes. Keep them safe.
  • We may suspend an account that violates these terms with notice. For security incidents (credential leak, abuse, fraud), we may suspend immediately and notify you afterwards.
  • You must give us accurate signup details. If they change (organisation, site URL, contact), keep them current.

Acceptable use

You agree not to use Trend Co-Pilot to generate or publish:

  • Misinformation or content presented as fact that you have not made a reasonable effort to verify
  • Defamatory content, or content that targets specific individuals with false claims
  • Copyrighted material you do not have the rights to use
  • Sexual content involving minors, ever, under any framing
  • Content that incites violence, terrorism, or unlawful acts
  • Content designed to harass, dox, or stalk an identifiable person

You are responsible for fact-checking generated articles before you publish them. Trust scores we surface are signals, not verdicts — they help you prioritise review, they do not replace it.

You also agree not to attempt to extract our prompt templates, model weights, persona logic, or any other proprietary internals of the service; not to circumvent rate limits or authentication; and not to use the service to build a directly competing product.

Content ownership

  • You own your output. The articles you generate belong to you. You can publish, edit, syndicate, sell, or delete them as you see fit.
  • We get a limited licence to run the service. You grant us a non-exclusive licence to store, transmit, and process your content solely so we can deliver the service to you (e.g. forward prompts to an LLM, save articles to your account, deliver them to your WordPress site).
  • We do not train models on your articles. Your generated content is not used to fine-tune, train, or condition any model, ours or a vendor's.
  • You own your personas. Persona configurations you build are yours. We will not reuse them for other customers.

Third-party services

Generation is routed through LLM and image providers, listed in our privacy policy. Their terms apply to prompts and outputs that flow through their systems, in addition to ours.

We do not control their pricing, uptime, content policies, or output quality. If a provider becomes unavailable or changes its terms, we will route around it when possible, but we cannot guarantee continuity of any specific model.

Payment

  • Closed beta: manual invoicing. No card on file, no recurring charge.
  • To cancel, email billing@trend-copilot.com. No notice period during beta.
  • Post-beta pricing and billing terms will be communicated to all account holders at least 30 days before they take effect. Continued use after that date means acceptance of the new pricing.

Service availability

We aim for high uptime, but we make no formal uptime guarantee during the closed beta. Maintenance windows will be communicated by email when possible. There is no SLA in this version of the terms; we will introduce one with v1.0.

Termination

  • You may close your account at any time by writing to hello@trend-copilot.com.
  • We may terminate accounts for material breach (acceptable-use violation, non-payment after invoicing begins) with reasonable notice. For severe abuse we may terminate immediately.
  • On termination — yours or ours — you have 30 days to export your articles. After that, your data is deleted under the retention rules in the privacy policy.

Liability

The service is provided "as is" and "as available". To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages, and our total aggregate liability is limited to the fees you actually paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose.

Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from claims arising out of (a) content you generated and published, (b) your violation of the acceptable-use section, and (c) misuse of your account by you or anyone you allowed access to it.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of [Jurisdiction TBD]. The exclusive venue for disputes is [Venue TBD].

Final jurisdiction and venue language will be locked at public launch. During the closed beta, any disputes are governed under a good-faith resolution principle: we'll talk to you first, mediate if needed, and litigate only as a last resort.

Changes to these terms

We email all account holders at least 14 days before any material change to these terms takes effect. Continued use after the effective date means acceptance. Non-material changes (typos, clarifications) are reflected in the "Last updated" date above.
